ARLO at Biophilia Summit 2026: The Architecture of Everyday Wellbeing

Living Future Europe · August 2026
Nawapan “Jok” Suntorachai, Design Director & Co-founder of ARLO – Architects and Logic from Bangkok,Thailand, will present “The Architecture of Everyday Wellbeing” at the Biophilia Summit 2026 on 24 September 2026. The project explores how architecture and everyday spaces can strengthen our connection with nature, with others, and with ourselves transforming wellbeing from an occasional experience into something embedded in daily life. Developed by ARLO – Architects and Logic in collaboration with Just Good Time Co., Ltd., the project brings together biophilic design, neuroarchitecture, and environmental thinking to explore how the spaces we inhabit can positively influence the way we feel, behave, interact, and reconnect. Designing Wellbeing into Everyday Life Rather than treating wellbeing as a separate program or destination, The Architecture of Everyday Wellbeing asks a broader question: How can architecture itself encourage us to feel more natural, comfortable, connected, and present in our everyday lives? The project looks beyond the conventional boundaries between interior, exterior, landscape, and living space. Through thoughtful spatial planning, connections to nature, sensory experience, movement, light, materiality, social interaction, and moments of pause, the design aims to create an environment that supports both physical and emotional wellbeing. Drawing from principles of neuroarchitecture and biophilic design, the project examines how the built environment can influence our perception and experience of space creating places that do not simply look natural, but allow people to feel more connected to nature and to one another. Biophilia in Practice At the Biophilia Summit 2026, Jok will share the thinking and design process behind the project as part of this year’s theme: “Biophilia in Practice: Sensing, Belonging, Regenerating.” The summit brings together practitioners and speakers from around the world to explore how biophilic thinking can move beyond theory and become part of the way we design, build, and experience our environments. For ARLO, this reflects a fundamental belief that architecture has the potential to do more than provide function or form. It can create conditions for people to slow down, interact, reconnect with nature, and experience a stronger sense of belonging in everyday life.
